Late period...Cysts??? :-(

Hey all! I'm new to this forum, and I just wanted to get some opinions on a problem I've been having for the past year. Around this same time last year, I was 3 1/2 months late for my period finally when I did get my period, it was extremely light and I had it for 26 days!!!! Naturally, I was petrified, and thinking all kinds of things. I made an appointment with my gyno and she did blood work, and and internal and external ultrasound. When she called me with the results, she told me my blood work was fine, but I had a very small cyst next to my ovary. She said it was nothing to worry about bc of the size and that it would most likely go away on its own. So after a month or so my cycle the following month was normal. I'm never exactly on time and instead of counting a 28 day cycle I have to count 31-35. Currently, I am almost a month late for my period. I have a boyfriend, and we use condoms everytime and it has never broken. However, to take precautions I took a pregnancy test a week ago just to be 100% sure and of course, it was clearly negative. I'm scared that the cyst may be back or worse...I'm starting to worry non stop about this. And I was wondering if anyone has any advice or any medications I could take to stop this... My gyno didn't want to put me on birth control bc I am a bigger girl and b/c when she took my blood pressure it was very high. I dont have blood pressure problems, but bc I was sooo nervous that day it was high. Any suggestions? I could sure use some advice

Hi I'm not sure what advice I can give you but I'm in a similar situation, I didn't have my period for about 5 months and when I got it it stayed for 6 days and was very light (almost non-existent) and now I'm 16 days late for my next period. I'm only 17 and this is really freaking me out do you think it could be cysts? Someone told me to try drinking ginger tea and I don't know if that's what got my period going last time or what so try that. Just get some fresh ginger root cut a couple of slices and let it steep in a cup of tea for about 10 minutes and if you're close to getting your period then it should get it going pretty fast. Hope this helps.
