Long period!
I have been on my period now for 11 days! I started a week before I even started my "placebos" in my birthcontrol! At first I was just spotting but I still had cramps and my breasts were sore. I started my actual period pills 2 days ago and it's now normal without cramping and my breast are no longer sore. But, there is no sign of it stopping anytime soon! What could have caused this? My guess is that last month I had to skip my period pills for a DR Appointment, so I never had my period that month, could that have thrown it off whack? I did that once before to go on vacation and it never did this! Can bleeding this long be bad for you in any way? Thanks!

Missing your pills can most certainly cause your period to become irregular. And each time you miss could cause your body to react differently. It throws your hormones off and then it takes time for your hormones to balance out. You just need to continue taking your pills as instructed. Give it some time to become normal again. It could take several months.
