I am on Ortho Tricyclen and have been for about 2 years now because my periods are usually very irregular. It's been okay except for a few nauseous spells in the mornings.

    Until now.

I started menstruating 2 and a half weeks ago (taking the pill normally), and my period which usually lasts from 3-7 days has been going on nonstop since then.

It's getting heavier instead of lighter. I am calling the doctor in the morning because I am beginning to get dizzy spells, but in the meantime, what could be causing this? Do you think it is because of the pill?

It's most likely a hormone fluctuation, but it's always possible that it could be an underlying health issue. It may just be time to change to a new brand of birth control. It is definately a good idea that you are seeing a doctor about it. That's the best course of action.
