I am 15 and got my first period yesterday. I use a mixture or tampons and pads. Today when i pulled out my tampon(Excuse graphics) a big blob of thick blood fell out. Am i OK? what is this?

one more question sorry. it seems as if all i get are thick blood blobs not really an even/thinner blod flow. is that normal too? maybe because i just got my period?
Yes it's normal when I first got my period I clotted a lot

Yeah - basically it's the first time that your body is cleaning itself out. So it may be darker, thicker and clottier than what it normally may be. Don't be surprised if it is like this for the first couple of months.

Before I went on the pill I saw that fairly frequently. It seems a bit odd, but it's normal. Getting your period isn't just a matter of absorbing coloured fluid like they show on the commercials!

im thinking of the pill, my sister is on it but im not sure yet. heard all these stories of side effects etc. ahhhh lol
You just started your period. Give it some time before you go on the pill!
