I've been experiencing an extended period and trying to resolve why. I had my normal period from 4/26 through 5/1, but still spotting for over a week since than. Haven't had any big changes in my lifestyle or schedule lately so I'm not thinking it is stress related. Being 43 years old, was wondering if this might be the start of menopause.

It is now 5/15... are you still having this problem? Sorry I could not respond sooner. Things have been carzy over here. Please let me know how you are doing. Ok I hope!
If you started your period on 4/26, then your period could go until 5/3 and still be normal. That is 7 days which is about the average for a normal cycle. If you were spotting for a few days after, it is possibly normal. Or it could very well be that your body is starting to go through a hormonal change. If the spotting has stopped, I would see how things go next month. If you continue to spot throught the month, then you may want to go see your doctor. |
