Its bad enough that I get crippling cramps during my period...But theres another pain too that none of my friends get or people i've spoken to get...just seems to be me, my sisters and my mum.. We've named it bum ache
It feels as though your whole underneath is being pushed out by something immensley heavy...to the point I feel as if I have to hold myself! Its from the bottom of your bumcheeks, the very top of your thigh and your lady parts...

I guess another good way to describe it is imagine some has half shoved an umbrella up your hoo-ha and is desperately trying to open it

Anyone else know the pain I'm on about? I though where better to ask then here

I've brought this up because im expecting my period today and I suppose i'd feel some comfort in knowing my family arent the only suckers who go through this gruelling experience!

I think I do, but mine used to be when I was having my period and used to go to the toilet for a no 2's or just the motion of bending over to sit and the pressure on my bum used to ache so badly that I avoiding I just didnt want to go to the toilet until I finished my period (but sadly that was a bad option) and avoided sitting down. I since have been treated for endometrisos which is an extremely common and yet ignored condition. I have never had the same pain since my surgery.

I don't think I get it in my bum, but I do feel the heavyness.
I put it down as an irritation in the vagina.
Sometimes I get a really heavy feeling so that it actually tires me to walk, I need to sit down.
Maybe it's just that there's a lot of blood in the uterus or just a big blood flow in that area that makes it feel this heavy.
Maybe the pressure gives you pain in the bum.

I know of women who can't go for number twos when on periods cause it's all cramped up there, so it could be something to do with that aswell.
