Exclamation Teen discharge problems

Uhhh hi ^^''' I'm kind of new and am a bit embarrased. He he well I'm 14 coming up 15 and at school wich is probably the main reason I'm worried because you may not wan't me here ANYWAY.
I got a call on skype the other day from my best friend is in the same year at school at me but is almost a year yonger. We started our periods around the same time (within the same week) about a year and a half ago now and so it's been nice to get used to it with someone who understands completely.
She has always complained about being really heavy with discharge and periods but yesterday she gave me a call terrified because she had read online the syptoms to some vaginal infection. I told her that it would be ok and even if it was the worst they would do would give her antibiotics and she would be fine. But I came looking for info and came accross this website with alot of women with the same problem. and I would like to know if any of you kind ladies had had this infection or situation and what was the treatment ect. mainly to help me give her peace of mind. Apparently she has the syptoms:
Lots of discharge and bad smelling and something else but this was in maths this morning.

She has irregular periods where as mine have settled to somewhere almost measurable (i think). I have taken her to see the nurse but she wasnt in today. She also has OCD, stress issued and anseity attacks wich probably don't help her hormonal cycle.
Please can you help me help her because she gets upset easily and has no one at home to talk to because her mum sadly passed away a while ago and her older sister freaks out about anything medical wich is not what she needs at all. Thank you for reading this and thanks for you time - Holly

Could the 'something else' have been itching? If so she could have thrush which can be caused by silly things like the soap she uses or wearing undies that dont allow much room to breathe, so cotton is usually the recommended fabric for knick-knocks.
In which case canesten is very helpful, probably best to go for canesten duo, which is a pill and you also get a cream.

You said that her mum passed away (sorry to hear), how's your mum with things like this? Would it be helpful for her to talk to your mum about it?

Also,
Not sure if im right but I think I am, the amount of discharge varies depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle.

But really, the best thing to do is confide in an adult or a doctor

Okay I will tell her that. And unfortunately I don't even feel okay to talk to my mum about this kind of thing. Shes just not very good at it so I don't know about Sabrina. Fortunately she's going to see a doctor about it tonight so hopefully she'll be okay.

Thank you very much for the reply it was kind you you -Holly
