    im 16 and i have a big weekend coming up i just spotted a little blood i have plans for hottubing and such for this weekend is there anyway i can delay my period for a few days?! please any help would be greatly appriciated!

    No! You cannot delay your period and you shouldn't be trying to! It's not healthy for you and it's not something you should look at as an inconvenience that should be manipulated to do what you want. Your period controls a lot of things in your body like your emotions, hormones, weight, growth, etc.

    Birth control is the only thing that will have an effect on your cycle and even then, the results are unpredictable. Only take birth control if you really need it though.

    Besides, many women still go swimming while on their period. Just use a really good tampon and make sure to change it regularly. You will be fine.
