Hello all!

Today is Sunday January 31st. I was supposed to get my period on January 26th and I have not gotten it yet. I have not had sex so I know that I m no pregnant. Today I started having brown spotting with a tiny drop of blood earlier today and that is it. I was just wondering if this was the official first day of my period or if it is a sign that my period is coming soon.

The main reason I want to know is because I am supposed to start a new pack of birth control pills (was on the pill before but went off of t for a couple months and am planning on starting it up again) and I was wondering if I should start taking them today or wait until I see actual blood. I have no preference as to whether I am a Sunday or Day 1 starter I just want to make sure I am starting my pack at the proper time.
