I'm 21 and I've been menstruating since I was 11, and I have never once missed a period or had a late period. I have been taking birth control for about 3 years, and have always had a regular period. However, last month I became very sick with hepatitis A and had to spend a week in the hospital with a very inflamed liver, so I had to stop taking all medication. I'm not going to start taking the birth control again for another month to make sure that my liver functions have completely regulated.

What experiences have you guys had with sickness and changes in birth control changing your menstrual cycle? How long did it take to go back to normal?
