Unhappy PCOS + BC + abnormal period

Hello, good day. I am new to this forum and found out about this when I googled my symptoms. (Sorry if ever I post this thread on the wrong sub-topic.) I hope there are people who will shed some light since I am unsure of what's happening to me. If anyone has the same problem, please do share your insights.

    So here's the deal:
    1. I had my period/bleeding January 17 to 22. Seemed normal. Clotting present.
    2. January 27 to February 1, I had another bleeding. Few normal clotting present.
    3. After 3 days, I had another bleeding, now light bleeding and brown in color. This is the 2nd day I have light brownish bleeding/spotting. No odd smell.

    Here are the facts:
    1. I have PCOS. I have abnormal cycles ever since. There was a time that I didn't have a period for 7 months or so.
    2. I was prescribed with BC pills by my doctor last 2009. I took them for 7 months until January 11. After my 6th box (December), I skipped the 7-day rest period since I was taking antibiotics for my sever cough some time near the end of the box for about 4 days. I have not missed any pill during the 6th and 7th box.
    3. I am sexually active. I had intercourse during the last day of taking pills during my 6th box but 3 days after taking antibiotics.
    4. 6 days after getting off the pill (7th box), I had my period/bleeding, which seemed normal.
    5. I am not experiencing pregnancy symptoms (ex. nausea, morning sickness, constipation, frequent urination). Though, I have not yet taken a urine pregnancy test.
    6. I am not experiencing any cramping or abdominal pain.

Please share your opinions. Thank you in advance.

Stopping birth control will mess your cycle up right there even without the PCOS to potentially add to it. Since you didn't take it very long it probably wouldn't mess things up for very long but a month or 2 of odd cycles would not be abnormal just from stopping birth control. With your body having trouble managing hormones in the first place it's even more likely unpredictable things may happen for awhile. Usually you just have to wait it out until your body adjusts to no longer having hormones added to it but if you haven't started other treatment for PCOS most likely your symptoms will either return to what they were or your body may be incapable of sorting things back out. It would be best to talk to a doctor about staying on some type of treatment for PCOS since it can cause other health problems.

Thanks, Kira. I guess my body is really confused right now.

I took a home pregnancy test (urine) and it came out negative. I was lightly bleeding that time. Is this reliable considering my situation? Actually, I am worried if I am pregnant even though I don't have symptoms. I'm a paranoid person.
