Oh! also...when i do have my periods everyother week. they are heavy just like a normal period and i get cramps for the 1st few days.
Hi. im 19 years old. I've been on birth control pills for about a year and a half. i started taking them when my period started to become irregular. at first i was spotting every week then i had my period for 3 weeks straight and decided to go on birth control.
Somewhere in the middle i tried the deposhot (3months) twice, then switched back to the pill.
whenever i go off the pill after having my period. i have around 2, 3 week break then i start my period again. after that it happens every other week.
does anyone have any idea what might be going on?
if i go back on BC it regulates it just fine and i start my period about 4 days after I've started the placebo pills and it lasts a week and goes away again.
ideals and comments would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Well here's the thing, going off the pill screws with many women's cycles for the first several months, so that could be part of it. The other part of it could be your age... Your periods might regulate themselves once you get older. Essentially there's a hormonal imbalance going on, for either of those two reasons, or maybe another reason that I'm missing.
In your case I would recommend going back on the pill and sticking with ONE brand (don't do random depo shots in the middle) for a handful of years. Don't switch brands unless you're having some side effects you're unhappy with.
Hope that helps. What have your gynos told you about this?
