Question 2-3 day light period, not normal for me :S

So to start this thing off I'm 18 years old. I've had my period since I was 13 I believe. My peroid has always been pretty normal, lasting 5 days. The first 3 days being a medium flow and the last 2 days pretty light. For the most part my cycles are around 24-28 days. However I've had the occasional 32 day or 48 day cycle.

Now onto my problem. My cycle this month was 21 days, I know that's not far off my normal so that I'm not too worried about. I had sore/tender breasts the week before it started and that's normal for me too. I got my period Sunday evening, and it is now Wednesday morning and it's done. It was pretty light. I usually change my pad 2-3 times a day. This cycle I was able to wear 1 pad for a whole day. I've never had a short or light period before.

I heard sickness and medicine can cause problems in your cycle. The week before my period I was pretty sick (am still a little bit sick but barely). Really sore throat (might have been strep throat) I was taking Advil, Chloraseptic (which is an analgesic spray), and Cepacol (which are lozenges) incase someone doesn't know.

Could any of this messed up my cycle?

Figure I should also mention I've been sexually active with my boyfriend since about October and our only form of birth control is condoms. Could this also be a pregnancy thing? :S I'm pretty freaked out and am considering taking a pregnancy test soon. But I would like other peoples opinions on this entire thing/everything I've said.

    Thank you so much .

It can definitely be cause of your illness. I've been ill for quite a few months and my period has changed a lot, the cycles are a lot shorter and the periods lasted only 2 - 3 days.
I'd say don't worry just yet. If it keeps changing a lot, then see your doctor.
