Hello. My deal lately is I have had 4 periods since January 8. I went to the doc and because I still had a period, he could not biopsy me. He put me on a med to stop the period and said that I would have another heavy one and when that was done, come in for a biopsy. He did a swab of me and that came back normal/negative. Back in 1995 I had periods that lasted too long but would come about 25 days between the first and last I had a biopsy then it and came back normal. This time I would be over one for about a week or so and get another but they were normal in every other way. I am guessing I am not the only one to go through this but it is so frustrating and discouraging. I am used to going 25 days from the first day of my last period to the next, but it only being one period.

Just thought I would post and get some feedback. I will for sure follow up with my doctor with this as planned.

Depending on how the follow up goes, ask you Dr what his opinions are regarding a D&C.

I've had one and some of the other ladies on here have too. It cleans things out and gives you a fresh start.

The doctor did say that was a possible solution but wanted to biopsy first. He did say the D&C was pretty expensive. I have one coworker who had a D&C and ended up getting a total hysterectomy a year later and a supervisor who had the hysterectomy right away. Will see how it all goes. I do have health insurance which is good also.

    How old are you?

I am 44 years old. The doc I saw was not my normal one but has practiced for year sand years in this field. I will check that out though for sure. Thank you!
