Hello. I need some opinions as to what I should do. For the month of January and February I have been getting what seems to be a very light period every other week. Up until then I have had irregular periods (except when I was on Birth Control, my periods were regular) even to the point where I wouldn't have one for a year at a time. Because of this, last spring I was referred to a Gynecologist. He did all sorts of blood work, I had an ultrasound as well as an internal ultrasound. I also had a pap smear and he did a biopsy type of test on the lining of my uterus. All of the results came back and everything is fine. I am overweight and my doctor thought that I could either attempt to lose weight and see if my body could regulate itself, or he said he could put me on birth control pills (I had been on birth control pills for about 5 years and I have now been off of them for 3 years.) I decided to try and let my body regulate itself before popping in pills and looking for an easy way out. My weight is the only reason my Gynecologist could see being the problem behind my absent periods. So, it is now almost a year later. My weight hasn't changed unfortunately. However, as I stated previously for the month of January and February I have had a very light, what appears to be a period every other week. And this light bleeding lasts anywhere from 2 to 4 days. But it is not constant light bleeding, at some points during the day I think it is gone but later that day or the next day the light bleeding is back. So perhaps it could be considered spotting to some extent. The only differences that have occurred in the last few months was that I started taking a multivitamin pill, B12 with Folic Acid, Vitamin D and CranMax (since I get urinary tract infections every now and again.) I have also been drinking more milk then usual the last 3 months. So, those are the only notable differences in regards to my lifestyle that I have made. Other than that everything has been the same. My partner and I are also sexually active so I guess there could be a small chance of pregnancy since we did not use protection a few times. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this, or if anyone is knowledgeable about these sort of issues? If so if you wouldn't mind sharing I would appreciate it. Thank you and have a great day![]()
