hey everyone.
Iv always had very normal periods all my life, and knew what day i would come on and for how long. Around 7 months ago i started having two periods a month, after two months of this i went ot the doctor and she changed the pill i was taking and put it down to stress (im at university and it was exam time, and i hadnt been very well) So i took the new pill for about 2 months and kept geting two periods, so i stoped taking it all together. Then my periods stoped for 2months witch i was told is normal when you stop taking the pill.
After this i got my period again and bust was on for 2 weeks and in alot of pain. My period was so heavy i was changing my pads every 30 mins or so, and had to wake up at night to change them also. This has carried on and i am still having two periods a month along with the pain, discomfort and losing alot of blood!
I have been to my doctors but i didnt get much of an answer as to what it might be, and im being sent for tests.
Does anyone on here know what it may be ? I am starting to worry about it, and i really hope it does affect me having children as my mom told me she experanced the same thing although she was in her 30's and had already had children so she had a hysterectomy.
Thanks so much for reading this and i hope someone can help! xxx
This sounds similar to my mom, however, she didn't have a hysterectomy. Talk to your Dr about getting an ultrasound, see if there is anything going on in there. Also, talk to your Dr about an uterus or endometrial ablation (google it, there's a lot of info on it). Some Dr's will perform them on patients who experience heavy bleeding.
