Thread: 19 years old - severe cramping/hot flashes during day 1 of period

This happens from time to time for me, but today it was really bad. I was at school and didn't have immediate access to ibuprofen. Are hot flashes normal for someone my age (probably not) or has anyone else experienced this before? Basically my face and neck feel really warm and I start sweating and I feel light headed. I had to sit in the washroom for a good 20 minutes before I could move because the cramps hurt so much.

I'm also wondering if it has something to do with my pre-menstrual symptoms. I've been feeling bloated and my breasts have been hurting for 4 days before I got my period today, and usually that only happens a day or two beforehand.

Not on the pill or sexually active.

Sounds pretty normal to me.
