    The first day of my period is really terrible. My cramps are so bad that I can barely move around, and when I do get on my feet I don't stay upward for very long. In the past I have had times when I would throw up (generally on an empty stomach) or black out (at home or in public). As you might imagine neither I very pleasant.
    I must admit I haven't really tried anything past normal pain killers (Advil, Tylenol etc). However if anyone knows of anything that can help with the craps as well as the blacking out and throwing up problem, it would be amazing to hear!

    When I was a teenager, I too suffered severely, I would be walking across the school yard one minute, and the next, on the ground curled up like a cat, crying and in so much pain.

    The only way I was able to ease it, was to go on the pill. At 16. And, as they reduced the blood flow, it thereby reduced the pain immensely.

    Heat bags (wheat bags) warmed up and placed on your stomach also help, as will deep breathes, 1, 2, 3, and out slowly and believe it or not, and it will hurt to start, but walking for 10 minutes, by the time you finish, it will have eased somewhat.

    i used to take feminax i think it called a sumet or ibuprofen that good for gettin the pain away x

    I had the same problem for over 15 years. So I know what you are going through. Have you talked to your doctor about it?
    I've tried everything, literally everything. I even had a very expensive surgery that seemed to help very little.
    But the things that did work for me:
    1. Going off birth control (the same BC that was prescribed to help, go figure)

    2. Vigorous exercise on a regular basis, especially the last few days leading up to my period (and if you can force yourself, when you start your period go exercise like a good brisk jog or go to the gym and really work up a sweat) I know it's hard to do anything but lay in bed or sit on the loo, but it really does make the cramps go away while you're sweating and moving.

    3. Pergestrone cream daily for 3 weeks out of the month. Use it starting a few days after your period is over up through the first two days of your period. You can get it either by perscription or at the health food store. This cream has literally saved my life. I used to spend the first two days in bed doing nothing but cramping and throwing up, now I barely even get cramps. No joke.
