Thread: Multiple periods, then none at all!

Okay, basically, I was having multiple periods in a month for several months, with usually just a week or two between each period. The second was usually lighter than the first, but still heavy enough that it required me to use a sanitary towel. Each lasted for roughly a week, like normal. Before this, I had a normal 28 day, regular cycle.

Now, though, my period has stopped altogether. I'm more than a month late. I have taken 4 pregnancy tests that have all come back negative. I'm 19 and have never used any kind of birth control. I became sexually active 6 months ago, but I was having multiple periods long before that. I have noticed an increase in the amount of vaginal mucus, but it's the same colour and thickness as it is when ovulation occurs.

I wanted to know if anyone else had any problems like these? I want to see if I'm worrying about nothing before I go to my GP. Thanks so much, your help is very much appreciated.

It could be an Ovarian cyst. Check out the wikipedia page. It explains it better than I could. Either way I would call your gyno. See what they have to say. They may want to you come in sop they can check it out.
