hi all, i apologize in advance for what is probably going to be a dumb question.
i am currently on yaz and have been for about a year. my boyfriend and i have unprotected sex often and we have never had problems. however, as of yesterday, i have been getting a very dark brown, very 'clumpy' spotting. its enough where i would need a pantyliner. i'm supposed to start my period next week. today i took a pregnancy test and it was negative. i kinda doubt it is implantation bleeding, since it is so dark and clumpy and is very on and off.
that said, i have been under an extreme amount of stress lately. i just got my first nurses aide job and thus having to re-adjust my whole body clock to be able to work nights. i also have not been eating well and i just about broke my tailbone last week. also, fighting with mom often. i have been experiencing some nauea but my co-workers said the same thing happened to them when they started working nights.
could the stress be triggering the spotting side effect of yaz?
i only ask because i am always worried that i've gotten pregnant. i cant afford a baby right now

You are going through a lot. I wouldn't really worry about. Menstrual cycles can be very sensitive to life's changes.

As far as it being brown, etc., it is probably just old blood. You can expect it off and on during you lifetime.

maybe it's the effect of stress, so to avoid further problem practice safe sex now.

Spotting usually occurs because of a hormonal imbalance. Have you ever considered using natural products to assist you with your hormonal balance?
