(Thanks sourpuss for responding to my last post a month ago! )
You don't have to answer all the questions. If there are any links you can redirect me to that'll be great!
I'm 21 by the way.
What causes menstrual cycles to be extremely painful (borderline debilitating; literally wishing I had a hysteroectomy(sp?) ) 4 or 5 times a year? There is no pattern.
My periods happen around a specific date (not exactly the same date) for 3 or 4 months, then the next month are late (a week to a week and a half late). Are they still regular? So I could have my period around the first of every month, and then the next month it will be around the middle or nearing the end of the month and keep this pattern for another 3 or 4 months and then change again. I had 2 periods in february (first time that happened) and it altered my schedule
Not one female in my family has period cramps like me. I always experience pain with mine. Even if they aren't borderline debilitating, the depression and other pms symptoms keep me in bed for a few hours the first and/or second day. Since there are no similarities between me & other women on my maternal side, could I have gotten something genetically from my fathers side that I don't know of?
And last question:
I haven't gotten a diagnosis yet. One doctor completly ignored what I had to say about my symptoms, and the other doctor gave me a prescription for birth control. These were both resident general praction doctors. Should I just take the bcp's eventhough I really don't want to to relieve my symptoms or should I speak with another doctor? Ill also add neither gave me a blood test or a pelvic exam.
