Hi all! I'm new here and I have a question in regards to a sudden change in my period.
I am 33 years old, and have stopped taking the pill 2 months ago and for some reason my periods are shorter... I've heard stories of people coming off the pill and their periods becoming longer, i've never heard that it comes shorter.
My first period off the pill lasted a total of 3 days. My second period (which was last week) started on tuesday around 10pm and lasted till friday around 2pm. I usually have a consistant cycle that lasts anywhere from 5-7 days.
I'm not really complaining abuot the length, but im curious to know if this has happened to anyone else.
if you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best
Your menstrual cycles will change numerous times during your life. Also, it may take up to 6 months for your period to get back on track after getting off the pill.
If you don't have a yearly scheduled soon, I'd wait it out a couple more months, 4-6 after stopping the pill and see how things are. Then, if they still are not consistent, have a quick check up at the Dr.
Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
