Ok, so I'm Jennifer, this is my very first time here, and to preface my concerns/questions:
-I'm 22, married for 3 years. We are not trying to conceive, and try to be very careful (withdrawal method generally, sorry if TMI)
-I have not been overly stressed lately
-I have not changed eating or exercise habits
-I have not started or stopped any hormone pills, shots patches etc, and I am not currently taking any birth control (I haven't for over a year now)
Ok, so...my issue:
My periods are always regular, not so much in timing, but in manner. I have one med-light day and then the next day I have severe cramping, and start a very heavy flow for 3-4 days which lessens near the 4th-5th day. I generally range between 28 and 32 days for my cycle, although as I mentioned, the timing is less than regular. I've been having heavy cycles for 11 years now, only my PMS symptoms have changed in the past 2 years or so, to become what I described. I have never had a light period until now and quite honestly, it's freaking me out.
4 days ago I started what I thought was my period, the timing was right, about 32 days from my last cycle, with very little brown blood, so I braced myself the next day for the cramps and heavy bleeding that ALWAYS comes (seriously, like clockwork)...only nothing, just a bit more brown spotting, which is weird, but has happened before, but the next day, same thing, armed with my Advil and Pads and then nothing. It's been 4 days of this , (jeeze, who would have thought I'd miss my cramps and bleeding) my breasts have been sore all 4 days(but I think it's caused by a bad bra... or well I hope) been gassy, queasy for the past day and a half, and also dizzy a bit and I've also been head achy and very stuffed up even though I don't have seasonal allergies and I think I've had some acid reflux, or at least some bile that has burned my throat. I've also been having trouble sleeping the past 3 days or so (you know, can't get comfy, then I have too much energy, too fidgety, or just not sleepy, and then sleeping too long, or taking naps mid-day).
Well, with all these symptoms plus my paranoid little mind, I was rather nervous, so I tested this morning first thing, with a negative result. So, I'm wondering what other explanations could there be to explain this? Is is possible anemia could cause something like time, because I have a tendency to become anemic, but it's never effected my flow like this.
Any info would be awesome, advice is also welcome. Thanks in advance, and sorry for all the editorializing, it's a bit of a bad habit, and makes me less nervous too.
