I'm new here and hope someone can share their experience with this procedure. I've had my period now for 4 weeks. My doctor has done a hysteroscopy and my lab work came back fine. I am only 47 but my family history has had early hysterectomys (before 50 for my mother and sister) so I'm not terribly surprised about the issues I'm having now. Both were done for the same issue, constant bleeding not cancer.

Any experience with this procedure good or bad?

My doctor also mentioned a Mirena IUD but I'm not completely convinced I want to go that route.
