Hey guys
Like tonnes of other women I've never had a regular period. Usually it'll take about 2-3 months for me to get my period. I've had a couple different rounds of blood tests and ultrasounds to determine why, but everything has come back normal. At the time, my doctor simply explained that it's most likely due to age and they will get more regular as I get older. It has now been 9 years since I've gotten my first period and I am now 19. I am currently doing another round of blood tests and ultrasounds to determine why period has become even more irregular than before. As indicated by the title, it has been 6 months since my last period. I've also put on a tonne of weight since my last period, despite me being highly active, and I find myself to be constantly tired. She's testing me for a series of hormone deficiencies as well as protein, iron, and glucose deficiencies. As well I've had another ultrasound to test for poly-cystic ovaries. I am not sexually active, so there is no way for me to pregnant. Is there anything that I could bring up to my doctor to check in case the results of these tests come back normal?
It sounds like she is doing quite the round of testing, which is good. Hormones and PCOS would be the first initial things I would want the Dr to check, but it looks like she's got your covered there. Probably not much more you can do than sit back and wait the results.
Good luck! Hope there is some sort of resolution for you.
