I've been missing my period going on 4 1/2 months now (not that I'm complaining). On occasion (maybe once or twice a month) I continue to get mild cramps. I know I'm not pregnant because I'm currently finishing up a form of isotretinoin (Claravis) which requires me to take a monthly pregnancy test, not to mention the fact that I'm not sexually active. However, I've had an irregular period since the beginning that's caused me to miss a few months here or there. I'm 17 years old and around 200 lbs, so it's quite possible that I have a hormone imbalance. I've taken Aviane in the past in an attempt to help control my acne. It did not regulate my period, though since then I vaguely remember it being brought to my attention that it may be low hormone? I have yet to visit the doctor because of financial issues but I do plan to. Until then, I'd like to have an idea of what to expect. When should I start worrying? Are my hormones on the fritz? Could this quite possibly be an early sign of infertility from Gardasil? Most importantly, is there anything I can do in the meantime?
I don't know about the meds you're on, but in the meantime it would be wise to regulate your stress levels and get healthy.
Start exercising and eating healthy and get your weight down a bit. Your cycle will have a better chance to balance out when the rest of your body is in balance.
