On the pill, I don't think there is anything you can do. You could try some progesterone cream, and making sure you are eating a healthy diet. In my opinion though, the pill messes with your hormones and it's hard to correct that while on it.
Today is day 15 of non-stopping spotting between my periods. My last period ended June 20th, and so my next period should have actually started yesterday. I am on birth control, Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, and I am usually very, very good about taking it the same time everyday.
I went to the gynecologist and she informed me that it was likely due to two missed pills, a very rare occurrence indeed, that had happened four days prior to the spotting starting. I took a pregnancy test while on this visit and I am not pregnant. However I am worried because this has been going on consistently, without stopping, for over two weeks now. Some days, it is super light and is reminiscent of the last day of my period. Other days it is an amount similar to a regular day during my period, accompanied by lower back aches (my body's version of cramps).
I can't tell whether I've started my period or whether this is still spotting. Also, I would like it to end soon. Honestly, I miss having sex with my boyfriend, and the combination of stress at work, with school, and us not being able to see each other except a couple days a week has that no-sex reality even more apparent. I read somewhere that ginger tea helps stop spotting but I don't know if I believe it.
Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Katie35801, are you suggesting to maybe stop taking the pills (this week it's the sugar pill, anyway) until this auto-corrects itself?
I'm not a big pill fan myself. They made me miserable and my periods crazy. Thankfully my husband is fixed and I dont have to worry with that anymore! Don't stop it before talking to your doc, and if you are going to take BC pills, don't stop it for sure! If you missed 2 pills, most likely when you start a new pack, it will correct itself. Missing the 2 pills can definitely cause your hormones to get out of whack, but it should correct itself. Just make sure you are getting iron and drinking plenty of water. How long have you been on the BC pill?
