Heavy bleeding four days after ending?

I took a shower and as I was drying off, I noticed a little bit of blood on the towel. I ended my period on Monday (about four/five days ago). It's not a light bleed, but a moderate going into a heavy. I have a tampon in, and mom said that if I bleed all day today, and for 7 days, she'll make me an appoipment. She thinks I might be streesed out, but sually I just spot. Anyone know what might be going on?

Are you on any birth control? If so it could be breakthrough bleeding.

No. I haven't been on it for years and when I was, it was for acne.
It's gone from a heavy flow to a light flow.

You would be better off talking to your doctor then. The largest cause of irregular/abnormal vaginal bleeding is hormone imbalance. Non menstrual bleeding can be caused by high levels of stress/anxiety.
