    Default Vomiting on period?

    I'm growing increasingly worried.

I'm now almost 18, but I've had this issue since turning 16.

On the first day of my period, I will vomit... vomit bile. With this, I experience cramping (usually lasting around 7-12 hours, back and leg pain), cold sweats (sweating... then shivering for no reason) and fatigue. When I'm at home this is more tolerable, but when I'm at university it's a burden.

For some reason, some months I'll be perfectly fine and others I'm almost in tears. Is this due to my diet or is it something else? Mum doesn't want me taking medication for it though and I don't wish to either, but I'm worried this problem will arise during an exam or important lecture.

    Please help,

Have you spoken to any doctors or specialists about this?? It does sound like something you might want to get checked out. Are you on the pill?? if so it may be a reaction to that?

Not on the pill and I'm not on any other form of medication.

I do know my mum had the same issues when she was younger though, so maybe it's a genetic thing?

    Thanks for answering

I had that same problem at your age. I would miss work and class, had friend want to take me to the hospital, etc. I tried birth control, didn't help really.

Here are the things the DID help me though:
    1. progesterone cream (saved my life, honestly) you can get it at the health food store. Pick some up and give it a try for a month or two and see if it helps you.
    2. acupuncture (expensive though)
    3. tons of exercise and eating healthy
