Hey guys, this looks like a great forum. I'm new here and I'm actually here on behalf of a great friend. It's been over 3 months now of no period, she's actually lost count. she said she has really bad mega pains under her stomach and her acne has gotten worse. she's scared and she doesn't know what the cause of this is. she can't see the doc right away so until then we're asking about it here. Any help, information would be much appreciated.

Has she taken a pregnancy test?

I second Lanabears question. We need to first knock out the possiblity of being pregnant.

On another note, what age range (or age) is your friend?

I am 41 and had three or four missed periods with bad pains in my side. I went to the OB-GYN and she suggested an ultrasound.

Turns out, I had ovarian cysts. One was the size of a small apple.

I got on birth control and that keeps everything nicely regulated. "Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome". (PCOS). That's when the released egg gets sort of backed up over time and just hangs around in there.

I would suggest this as a possible alternative if being pregnant is not a possibility for your friend. Still, the OBGYN is the best bet.

Not pregnant. Not married. Doesn't mess around. Discard this altogether, lol.

    Thanks.
