I'm a 32 year old woman and in the last couple months i've noticed that my menstrual cycle has become strangely short and that my periods themselves only last 2 days! i bleed normally for two days, and then, like a tap shutting off, i'm done! i also find that it seems like only 3 weeks between them now, which is much more frequent. i've always been very regular, but i HAVE been on and off birth control--still, the last time i took a bcp was over a year and a half ago! has anyone had this happen? should i be concerned?!

I'm going through this right now as well, so you're not alone. I'm 34, used to be regular 28 days, now only 21 days and only a couple of days. The differences I've had are I'm training for a marathon, and an increase in stress at work.

I'm afraid I don't have answers for you as to why this is happening to us, but you're not alone. I've been doing research on pre-menopause, and that's a slim possibility. My family history on menopause is slim (Mom had a hysterectomy at 32), so I don't know what to expect in terms of timing.

    Any other thoughts?
