    Hi, some advice/help-

I just finished taking meds for a vaginal yeast infection on Monday. I've had 3 yeast infections in the past 6 months, and I usually don't get them at all. The last one I had before this year was in 2004. I attribute it to probably over-washing (since I usually takes 2 showers a day) + the summer, the weather is really hot.

My boyfriend + I always use a condom,-with the exception of him pulling out a week ago (and I know he didn't cum in me, just on me) I'm due for my period this week + I got it Monday. My period is on-time. I used to get it every 32 days, now 28 to 30 days- I have period cramps, smells like my period, bad skin (I always breakout really bad when I'm on my period), and I have that crampy "period" feeling-but my blood flow is different. Usually I bleed Very Heavy, starting on the 3rd day-but I'm on my 2nd/almost 3rd day of period and it's still VERY light. It's bright red bleeding, not pink-but red/brown'ish, it's just very light/almost nothing and no blood clots/lots of blood like I usually have.

Can my vaginal yeast infection cause my light bleeding? I have been under a lot of stress/not sleeping much. I just got back to school and am working at a new job, plus applying to grad school.

Would the light bleeding be considered spotting or just a light period? I have a Drs. appt in about a month (3 1/2 weeks). I'm more concerned about the yeast infections than the possibility of pregnancy or something else. Any advice? I'm hoping my period gets back to normal by later this week.

    Thanks!

I have been dealing with infection for months. And it does seem to be screwing with my periods. It also seems to be making me spot/lightly bleed off and on all month. I've read where some say "no it doesn't", but then I've heard women say "it can". So I guess technically only a doctor could give the "correct" answer, but it seems like it could IMO.
