Hi I am wondering if this has happened to anybody else. I normally have a very irregular period but I have never had spotting before. I hade enough to fill the tip of a tampon then nothing for a day then the same thing a day later now nothing again. My period is also a week earlier then it should be since my last period was 20 days ago. I am not on B/C and my b/f pulls out since I can't use comdoms due to allergies and can't go on b/c without having the T put in which is also iffy due to some health issues. I have started a second job and have had less sleep then normall but I did give blood for the first time last month and was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I can't find anything on the internet to suggest that I should or should have a lighter flow. Please help!

    Hi, Kaleigh.

I don't think donating blood should affect your menstrual flow - menstrual blood comes directly from the uterus and the shedding of the uteral lining. I'm a regular blood donor myself, bu tit's never affected my period. The spotting and irregularity most likely have to do with something else. Spotting happens every now and again, but if it continues to happen, it may be a good idea to talk to your gynecologist.
