Okay, I have not had a regular period, for about 5 years. (Was on depo for a long time, then tried the copper IUD, and have been off BC since June). Havent had any bleeding or spotting. Then this saturday, I thought I was having a period (who knows it's been soo long) darkish but it never really came out, only when I wiped. I put in a tampon that day and took it out a little bit later since nothing was "comming out". I had sex sunday a.m. and bled after. Then this a.m. sex again, and bleeding pretty good, bright red. But only when I wipe. No cramping. So I looked up bleeding after sex, and it says I should go to the dr. Well, I decided my last obgyn I wasnt going back to him, and I really dont trust my other primary doctors...but should I really make an apt?

I'm not sure if I should sch. an appot or wait this out. here's some history: 2-9-10 got copper iud in, bled constant and cramped until 6-18-10 had it removed, no bleeding after that. then this what i posted but on the 13th started strong enough for tampons/pad. Still going strong today 9-20-10. Not super heavy, am passing 'clots' and such. Really wish I could figure this out! Websites say to see a dr. if your "period" lasts longer than 7 days. But I dont even know if this is a period or not. About two weeks ago I did have a lot of 'ovulation' like dishcharge. But who knows. Anyone have any ideas?!?!

If your period is super irregular then yeah you should go to a doc and get it figured out. Be firm though, at the doctor's. My guess is he/she will just dump some more birth control pills on you, but if that's not what you want, say so. So many people go to the doctor's and lose their voice.

I don't think you should be worried, but, I can see how this might be really frustrating.

It is very very frustrating! I was regular when I was a teen, until I got on depo. Havent had a period since. So yea, I do need to figure it out, it's just finding a doctor! So fun, not! lol.
