August 7 i took plan b and had a light period on the 11th. experienced slight nausea, mood swings, and constant bloating. went to a planned parenthood place, got tested that came out negative. again i needed to take plan b like 2 to 3 weeks ago. experienced abdominal pains, side pains, pain in the groin area, cramps, chest pain, and slight bloating. today is the 14th of September and started another light period or heavy spotting. are these side effects or should i be more worried? whats going on with my body?

You should talk to your doctor about your symptoms right away ESPECIALLY since you have chest pain which could be something very serious. Did you talk to planned parenthood about getting on birth control? Plan B is not to be used as frequently as you have used it... its there for an emergency but taking it as birth control after the fact on a routine basis I think can lead to some serious side effects and that may be part of the problem. But definately get to the doctor to deal with the chest pain it could be related to something as serious as a blood clot which is VERY dangerous ... it could be any number of things that are minor as well... but chest pain is something that should be taken seriously.

I took plan B 3 times in less than a month... (August) let me tell you how royally F**KED up my body got. A list of symptoms I had: shooting pains (all over in my arms legs etc..) not nausea to the point where I was going to be sick but the dizziness was defintely there. I had a random period inbetween that lasted about 48hrs. My next period (September) came 2 days late. I have always had chest pains but plan b made it worse. Cramps, cramps and more cramps plus abdominal discomfort/pain. I saw 2 doctors and 3 pharmacists. I was worried sick about ectopic pregnancy because like most people I googled myself into believing that I had all sorts of . I did a blood pregnancy test plus an ultrasound and FULL blood test. Everything came back fine. Both of the docs and the 3 phramacists said that it was the plan B and that any dose of hormones that large in that short span of time would cause all of these things. (They said this before the results came back alright) I felt really crappy for 3-4 weeks and now I'm perfectly fine. Needless to say, get on BC and just go to the docs and get the proper tests done..it will greatly relive your mind. The first thing my doctor asked me was "have you been googling your symptoms?" I told her "yes" and she said "well your anxiety is probably casuing half of the symptoms your having so relax."

Oh and another thing... if you can't see a doc, go see a pharmacist...remember that they dish out these meds everyday and actually have a really good idea of what symptoms can occur with different meds. To be honest, I have found them more helpful than doctors with regards to these things but obviusly they can't get you properly tested so in the end so you'll still end up in the docs office. Hope this helps anyone who has been in this situation!!

    Ladies!!!
Plan B is an emergency measure product, not a substitute for a responsible, regular method of conception control. Get into a doctor, a family planning clinc or your county health services and talk to them about what method would best suit your needs and then Use that.
