Ok, I'm a skipper, have always been a skipper, I've skipped for 13 months at a time before. My sister is a skipper too, she was told she'd never have kids because of it and she just had a son. So, the skipping is normal for us. What's not normal is what's going on with me lately. I havn't skipped at all and it's horrible. I have cramps bad enough to cripple and bleeding so bad that i have to change my tampon every hour or get blood on my pants. I started wearing tampons and pads at the same time and that helped. The thing is, it's normally cramps most of the time but about once an hour, it feels like a contaction and I've got to get to the bathroom right then because the gates have straight up broken and the city is flooding! What is this? Why after 10 years of skipping am I suddenly regular and flooding?
Maybe a change in hormones in your body? I know with my period I will cramp really bad and then as you said the flood gates open, but if you suddenly change like that, I'd see your doctor. It could be something deeper than just your period changing. I would definitely set up an appointment with your GP. Maybe if things continue to be bad and everything is normal, they will decide to put you on the pill which will regulate you much better and cut down on the bleeding/cramps.
