Thread: Haven't had period since June 2010 and it is now Oct 2010

I am 19 years old and first got my period at age 12. I started birth control when I was 17 and was on Yaz then had to switch because of law suits against that pill and started ortho cyclen in feb 2010 but totally didn't work for me and month later switch to loestrin in march 2010. I have missed my period before because of weight loss but I am getting worried that not having a period will harm me in some way. I am on loestrin and it is great for me just worried that not having a period could cause some bad side effects. Let me know if I am fine. Also, I have had this before when I missed my period for 3 months because I got way too thin but then I got my normal weight again. Which I am at my normal weight and so this is different than last time it happened. Also, I am not pregnant. So please help me with this. And I have told my mom and she said when she was at school this would happen to her, but I won't have a period even when I am home for the summer. So please some advice, my mom is just ignoring it really and don't know where else to ask with this.

I am having the same situation...sorta. I'm not on birth control, and I am a virgin, but I know that this is very stressful waiting for your period to come back. You should go to your doctor, and I'm curious to know how your diagnosis turns out, maybe it can help with my situation as well... hope it turns out ok!!
