Thread: Bleeding too long! confused, please help me

Thirteen days ago (Sept. 25th), around the time I was expecting ovulation to occur (and possible ovulatory spotting), my boyfriend and I had sex. There was hardly any blood- indeed, we did not even notice until we were finished, and because there was so little, I assumed it was just the ovulatory spotting I was expecting. I didn't worry about it.
Over the course of the next few days, whenever we started to have sex, I bled after just a few minutes. This blood began to worry me because it was very bright red/fresh looking, and I have always read that ovulatory spotting is more creamy/light colored because of the cervical mucus... and its just spotting, not a fair amount of bright red blood. ANd ovulatory spotting only lasts a couple of days, but my bleeding during intercourse continued well past the two or three day mark.
We stopped attempting sex for a couple of days, and I continued to spot very little in my underwear. When we began to attempt intercourse again, the same thing happened. After a few minutes of sex, the bright blood was there. It was never some crazy amount, it didn't pour out or anything, but it was enough to make us stop and definitely feel anxious. This pattern continued for the past 13 days. We would attempt intercourse to find blood after a few minutes, and then we would stop for a while (me spotting all the while), and start attempting again to find the same results.
The past few days, I experienced the tiniest of tiniest of cramping deep in what seems to be my abdomen region. Yesterday, (Oct 6th) I just began to bleed even more. There was, if I could roughly estimate, a couple of tablespoons of blood on my pad, way more than spotting. Last night I bled a lot, and today I have been bleeding at a very/unusual continuous, steady rate (unlike my normal period), I used several Light pads today. I worry about it because it is not clotty and dark like menstruation blood, but rather its just bright red....Im starting to really worry, but Mayyybe right now this is just my actual period beginning....although like I stated it just doesn’t seem anything like my normal periods..

I speculate:
Is the sex somehow triggering the release of blood?
Is the sex injuring me and I can't feel the pain inside??!
Is the sexual arousal triggering the sexual fluid to release/shed my menstrual lining? Which would, if it is possible, make this some sort of weird abnormal period???
Is this a potential miscarriage? Or signs of an upcoming miscarriage?
Could this be leftover blood from last month's lighter-than-usual period?
Could this somehow be an indicator of pregnancy?

There seems to me to be too many possibilities!!

here is my history and probably why my cycle is so out of whack:
I was on birth control for a year (2008-2009). I've heard b-control can technically make cycles irregular for the entire lifespan... This year in February I got a clinical abortion. My period immediately was regular for 2 months after, but after that and throughout this year, my period has been fairly irregular and hard to predict.
