Hi,

I recently started bleeding although I'm not due on my period.

My cycle is normally like clockwork and always has been. I'm never late, never early and my cycles always follow the same format. So it was a bit out of the ordinary when I started spotting the Friday before last, when my previous period finished only 7 days ago. The bleed was light to medium and lasted 5 days then cleared up. I had swabs done at my doctors just in case - they came back negative; no infection.

Then yesterday I started to bleed again, this time there's more blood and it's just about breaking through - I'm using a tampon. It's bright red in colour and quite thin with minimal clotting.

I am due on my period next week - could this be my period come early? It's not like my period usually is. I normally have tender breasts leading up to, and then for the first few days I have lots of cramps and very heavy bleeding with clots. At the moment there's no cramps; it doesn't feel like I'm on my period, I'm just bleeding.

I went to my drs again this morning (coincidentally I happened to have a routine check scheduled for today), and after an examination found the bleeding is coming from my uterus. The advice was to keep an eye on it, so I am doing, I'm not too worried I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this too?
