Thread: Crazy Cycles and now spotting

Over the past year, my cycles have been crazy. I use to be a straight 28, maybe 30 day cycle. Since January of last year, my cycles have spread all the way out to 50 days. It's not every month though. One month I may be 30 days, the next 50, and then the following 40 days.

Well, this month I start spotting before my period - for about 5 days. I had my normal menstrual cycle, and then spotted for about 4-5 days afterwards. All the spotting was extremely light. Well, about a week after the last spotting, I started to spot again - this time a little heavier, brighter, and with some small clots. This has been going on for about a week now. I noticed cramping on three days during the heavier spotting (not heavy enough for any type of feminine protection) and heavier clots. Today, it looks like the first day of my menstrual cycle with heavy clots - but still not heavy enough to call my cycle.

Any clues as to what may be going on? I am 29 years of age with a three year old son.
