i was just doing some research online and came across something called a moon cup. i have never heard of these before. they are little flexible cups that you insert into your vagina to catch menstrual blood, and then you empty them, clean them and reinsert. they are an alternative to tampons and pads, and are reusable so good for the environment. and cheaper than pads and tampons over time because you can keep them up to five years. so, i was just wondering if anyone here has used one and what they think of them.
I use a Diva Cup which sounds like it is essentially the same thing. I'm surprisingly pleased with it, especially on my heavy days. I would ALWAYS bleed through my tampons on these days, since I started using the Diva Cup I have yet to bleed through at all. Plus, you can wear it up to 12 hours, so I feel comfortable wearing it at night. I also felt like tampons dried me out too much sometimes, so since this doesn't absorb, I don't have that problem when I wear it.
I don't wear it for my entire cycle, on my light days, I'll generally use a light tampon.
Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
