    Hello

I just joined and seeking any advice. So here it goes. I am a young women almost 23. I have had women problems ever sense I was 11. Have been put on a number of different types and doses of birth control all of which never help or would make maters worse.

I have been told that I would never have children, which I do have a beautiful little angel. :-D Before her I did have 2 miscarriages, and have many difficulties carrying my daughter and her birth. To be moving on with my story. Over the past 2 years. I have seen my PCP and a oncologist also a few ER visits with my problem. All of which have been told, its my cysts and recently endometriosis.

With the endometriosis diagnosis, was but back on birth control! Sorry but that seems to be the answer with all these doctors and it doesn't help nor makes maters worse! lol So now got off the birth control due to fevers, cramping, headaches and feeling sick and sleepie. Thinking this would at least improve my quality of life. Plus was not doing anything for the bleeding and pain.

Currently I have been bleeding for almost a month - 26 days (not light either)!!! Not to mention all pain and body aches. This has happened frequently in my life. But I don't feel this is any way healthy and I am SICK OF IT!! No one can seem to help me, they just give me a pill and send me on my way. I feel as through I am being brushed off. All I want is to feel and be normal, I would easily setting for feeling normal. lol

I just want to break down and cry. Any words would help, I am thinking I may have to take another trip to the ER tonight. The pain, bleeding & fever I just cant take anymore, and I am a strong person. There has to be some thing that can be done, and some one who can help.

Any words of wisdom and knowledge would be greatly appreciated! And thank you for help.

    Hello, I'm new here too

Birth control does seem to be the answer so many doctors have to anything womb-related!

You're right to feel you're being brushed off, but I think this is most likely happening because your doctors don't really know, and are probably afraid to admit that doctors are also human and don't always have the answers.

They'll tend to prescribe the contraceptive pill for endometriosis as the idea is that if the hormones which would normally cause the pain and swelling are no longer circulating round the body to the places they'd normally be causing problems in. ...(At a guess,) things getting worse on the pill could possibly suggest it isn't endometriosis, or that something else is causing the main problem ??

Depending on what the problem is, it might be possible to treat the womb lining to prevent the pain and bleeding, though you need to make sure you've had as many children as you want first as it would prevent any further pregnancies being possible - and not necessarily something you can really decide in your early 20's without being sure not to regret it. (and I am speaking as another woman in her 20's, rather than being patronising.)

I'd suggest looking for a doctor who isn't afraid to admit they're not sure and is prepared to run some more extensive tests and rack their brains a bit over how to help - it won't be easy, but is certainly worth trying.

Wish I could be more helpful, finding a helpful doctor is the first obstacle, but I hope this helps a little.

    Good luck!

    Default Any help?

Hey, I am starting to think I might have endometriosis and I was wondering if you could tell me more about it, your symptoms...Because I've looked it up but it's more helpful to actually get the info from someone who has been there...Thanks sooo much!!

    hello
i was just reading about ovarian subjects on the net.
Well i think you should really go to a doctor, and do a pelvic examination, therefore do an x-ray of your pelvic area (where menstruation takes place). There will be an overall view of your system through the xray , and it should help the doctor seek the current problem affecting your life.

I think its very important you do this, in case any sort of ovarian tumor may appear, benign as malignant.

I hope you follow my advice. It wont hurt you and you dont lose anything...

    ciao!

    Default What Happens?

I would really like to get a pelvic exam to see what is wrong but what happens when you get one? My mom and I don't really talk about things like that...I'm only 19 and don't have any kids so would it hurt very badly?
