Mucked up cycle and pain after being sterlised

Hi ya all,

I was sterlised in august. At first every thing was fine but have noticed that my cycles are getting longer and longer, before it was about 29 days the last few months its been 39, 40 and 46

My periods are lighter than normal but the pain is worse.

The other thing is cramping and pain when having sexual intercourse. Although i have my sex drive it hurts no matter what position we try and i get cramping for about 2 days after. I am finding it harder to climax because of the pain.

I am just wondering if anyone had experienced the same, is this normal? i would have thought it should be settling by now.

What type of sterilization did you have?

When I had an IUD, my cycles were longer and then the IUD dropped, sex became painful. My Essure failed and sex is painful from mid-cycle on and I am having them removed in January. Sounds like you need to talk with your doctor.

Sorry i dont know the expert terms but i had keyhole surgery and had my tubes clipped.

Yes, it is normal for your cycles and flow to be different after anything tubal is done. The pain part would be a concern and a reason to definately talk with your doc.
