Is this normal cause I don't think it is: Every month I have severe pain with my cycle. When I first started when I was around 14, I NEVER had cramps or anything like that and a few years after that when I was 17 I all the sudden started having them and they got worse and worse. Now I don't think that's normal either? I read on the internet that usually if you have cramps you have them within the first year or so after your period first starts but that didn't happen to me. I have been off/on BC for several years only to regulate my cycle.

Here are the symptoms that I currently have every month:

    Extreme fatigue
    Severe cramps (stabbing/twisting/constant ache)
    Dizzyness
    Disoriented
Fast heart rate (i don't have heart problems either)
    Headache
    Nausea
    Sweating
Sometimes I feel like I'm going to pass out or throw up.
It's usually worse at night and in the morning when I first wake up.

and all this lasts for 2 days and nights straight. Now what could be the problem, you suspect?

Have you ever been to the Dr for this? Are your paps current and normal?

Do these symptoms abate when you are on the pill or does it not make any difference?

Before I started taking the pill, I had very similar symptoms and the pill helped me manage them. However, these problems only lasted a few hours - not 2 straight days. I would definitely mention this to your general practitioner or your OB/GYN. They can help you assess any possible underlying problems. For me, it was just an issue of the hormones fluctuating, which is why I am curious about how the pill affects your symptoms.

I'm sorry, that probably wasn't very helpful to you. Good luck and check with your doctor when you can!

Yes, I have and was put on BC and said it was "normal" but I honestly don't believe her. Since then we have switched to a different dr. because the dr. that I didn't beleive got fired. I've never had a exam or a pap smear, need to have one this year probably but I'm just kinda scared. I'm young btw and have never had sex either. (not going too till I'm married anyways)
