My cycle has been consistently 33-35 days for at least the last year. I wasn't really keeping track of it before that. Anyway, my last cycle was randomly 23 days, and my flow was normal. Now I'm going on day 32 in this cycle, so I assume it's going back to normal. I took a HPT today, one that supposedly can tell up to 6 days before a missed period, and it was negative. I've been having light cramps like I usually do before I start, so I'm sure it'll be here by Friday (day 35). So, I guess I'm just wondering if it's normal to have a consistent cycle length and then a random short one sometimes? Any help/experience greatly appreciated.![]()
Yep, it's normal. More than likely nothing is wrong. My cycles are generally 28-33 days, however, last month I had a 23 day cycle. Out of the blue, no rhyme or reason. Also keep in mind that your cycle can and most likely will change numerous times throughout your life. For a couple years I had a consistent 40-43 day cycle, about two years ago, I went to a 38 day cycle and for about the last 10 months I've maintained a 28-33 day cycle.
