    Hello All,

Long time no see , though I know I have everything to do with it. For my first post back I have a personal question or inquiry. My periods have always been wierd, long, painful and draining. I have a merina insert as my choice of birth control and I notice that now I have my period for two days it will go away for one or two days and then return for around two or three days more. Is that normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

    Thank you,

    Ahryin

My friend has mirena, and she said that her period was all sorts of screwed up after they put it in. With any birth control you are goin to have weird periods for a while. You should talk to the person who gave you it. They shouldve talked about side effects or not.

You can have messed up periods even if on the pill. It can have to do with your diet, if you've suddenly taken up exercising, if you've changed a habit.

You should tell your doctor that, but it's 'normal' in most cases.

Map out the first day of your cycle up to the first day of the next. It should help you see more variables. Though your situation is relatively normal, you should see a doc.
