I'm 20 years old (If that helps any)
Usually, although my period are getting more regular, they start either a few days early or a few days late. This isn't the issue.
I thought I started my normal period yesterday (Thursday, January 13th). It was VERY VERY light, just a tiny bit of dark brown, gooey, blood and not even enough to take up 1/3 of a tampon. It stopped a few hours later and resumed this morning (Friday, January 14th). It's a tiny bit heavier- but also much darker with a little bright red/normal red blood. maybe only a drop or two. The blood isn't really even absorbing into the tampon. I'm not having normal cramps either, it's more in my lower back than in the lower front of my abdomen. It was a sharp pain yesterday and now it's only a dull ache.
Usually the first day and second day of my period are the heaviest and the blood is... well... regular looking period blood. It's never been like this before.
My boyfriend, he lives across state, and I are sexually active and the last times we had sex were Dec 30 & 31, Jan 3-4, Jan 8-9. My last normal period started on December 10 and ended December 17.
Is this something I should be worried about?
I don't think you should be worried about anything. Go to a doc to be sure.
Here is something you might want to read:

What counts in making a happy marriage is not so much how compatible you are but how you deal with incompatibility. - Leo Tolstoy
The clearest explanation for failure of any marriage is that two people are incompatible; that is, one is male and the other female. - Anna Quindlen
