Thread: Brown spotting.....HEEELP!!

Ok, so i went to the doc and had my annual pap on Friday. Of course, i had very light spotting afterward that night. Well, ive been spotting since then and it's been 6 days! Its the heaviest when im at work moving around and it fills a pantyliner. It's been brown the whole time but i saw a tad of pink today. I am on the pill and am not suppose to start my period for 6 more days. Im a little scared im pregnant, but i've also been on a diet for the past 3 1/2 weeks and have lost 10 pounds. im hoping its a hormonal change from my diet. Im trying to wait it out and see how my period is. and if it doesn't get better, go to the doc. Someone please heeeelp!!!

Brown discharge is old menstral blood being removed from the vagina prior to the start of your next menstral cycle, birth control pills can cause this to occur more often due to "break through bleeding" -or bleeding between menstral cycles. The friction of the pap can also cause this to occur especially if you were close to the start of your normal period.
