Hi, I've been trying to understand it but I'm still confused as to when is my "infertile" time. I'm not ready for pregnancy yet, but I do want unprotected sex. My bf definitely likes it better without the condom.
Is the safest time the few days after my menstrual bleeding, or before it? I've seen the charts that show the safest time is at least 2 days after ovulation and before menstrual bleeding.
But I thought when menstrual bleeding occurs, the egg is washed out? So naturally, the safest time is right after menstrual bleeding, right? So confused~
Sorry if this is the wrong forum! please move it to the Pregnancy forum if that section is more suitable.
You can get pregnant any time during your cycle. Your most fertile time is at ovulation, generally that entire week is a fertile week. The least fertile time is during menstruation. The few days before or after the week of menstruation is the next best thing, but still a risk. If you want sex without condoms without the risk of pregnancy, you should go on birth control. The calendar method is the least effective method of birth control there is, many women have gotten pregnant that way so I wouldn't risk it.
