For 5 years I've had a regular cycle, all of a sudden in March 2009, it started going soooo heavy with so many clots and it lasted for a month...since then my periods have always been around 8-14 days and heavy bleedin..but never as bad as now, I;m on my third month of bleeding and its very heavy

ive tried so many birth control pills but nothings helped!!

has anyone had a similar problem and how did you solve it?

    thankss!

    How old are you?
How is your weight, has it changed?
Did your doctor do any tests or scans?

    Im turning 19 this year,
ive been a pretty constant weight for as long as i remember, im 60 kgs and 5'8

my doctor has done a pelvic exam which indicated cytsts on ovaries but from what i understood he doesnt think they are the cause of my problem
he scheduled me a sonohysterography but i cancelled it because im a virgin and that procedure is too invasive for me
i dont have any bleedind disorders (ex von willebrand) and he said my problem is apparently hormonal but when my family doctor looked at the same set of hormones, he said they were ok..soi dont know who to believe

im starting to be convinced its a uterine fibroid, i want to try asking my doctor to send me for a pelvic MRI instead

Check out The Hormone Diet, you may find the information in this book very enlightening. If nothing else you will have a deeper understanding of your body and how it all works.

But keep pushing for answers. That much bleeding is miserable.
